Pastoring Is Easy as is the Christian Life Together, getting to know our Father in heaven

Thoughts for Meditation from Pastor Tom
Highest Calling
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:John 1:12 KJV
Sonship is the highest calling God’s love for you is unconditional. Therefore there are no prerequisites to receiving it. That also means no “ministry” is required, no lifestyle, or moral standard to attain.
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.Romans 3:21-24 NIV
Forgiveness and justification are freely given to those who will receive them. Seek to know him. The Lord said to us “Believe I exist” which was startling until we examined ourselves and our approach to God. It then became revealing as we sought to know him.
Find the God who loves you, heals all your infirmities, and has a plan for you. Loves you - affirms and confirms you are lovable and forgiven Heals - weaknesses and fears which allows you to see and love others Plan - you are part of his purposes , there are things for you to be part of
Much different from a servant relationship of required obedience, a son or a daughter, knowing the Father lovingly directs, hears and obeys, following in responding love becoming like him. As Christ “made himself a servant”
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.Romans 12:1 NIV
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:John 17:20-22 KJV
You are the answer to Jesus’ prayer as you respond to the highest call. Experiential love draws a person to the oneness God plans.

  • Remember: Ask the Lord “Is this true?"
